Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Heat Pump / HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage their own time effectively to meet schedules. Communication is a critical component of this role, requiring clear and professional interaction with both customers and the office team.

Key Responsibilities

- Service & Maintenance: Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work on heat pumps and HVAC systems for residential and light commercial clients.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve a wide range of HVAC issues efficiently and effectively, ensuring systems are functioning optimally.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer experiences by explaining service findings, recommending solutions, and answering any client questions in a clear and professional manner.
- Time Management: Organize daily schedule to meet service appointments promptly and maintain productivity throughout the day.
- Communication: Maintain open, proactive communication with the office team for updates, scheduling, parts orders, and service notes.
- Documentation: Accurately complete service reports, record details of repairs, and document parts used via Service Titan or similar platforms.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure adherence to HVAC industry standards and local regulations.

Qualifications

- Technical Expertise:




- 3+ HVAC or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of heat pump and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with refrigerant handling and HVAC diagnostic tools.
- Customer-Focused:
- Robust interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers in a clear, respectful manner.
- Time & Task Management:
- Ability to self-manage workload and adjust to scheduling changes efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills to ensure service calls are completed on time.
- Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative approach with the office team for seamless service delivery.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
