Best Brains Grand Park in Mississauga are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated Math Teachers to work with students between the ages of 4 and 14.

The ideal candidate should have strong elementary and middle-school Math knowledge, including arithmetic, geometry, word problems, critical thinking, and introductory algebra. Teachers must be comfortable working with students of different ages and ability levels in a structured, small-group classroom setting.

Math Skills Required

Candidates should be confident teaching:

- Long multiplication and long division
- Factors, multiples, divisibility, LCM, and GCF
- Fractions, including operations and word problems
- Decimals, percentages, and their applications
- Ratios and proportions
- Area and perimeter
- Volume of regular, irregular, and composite shapes
- Multi-step word problems
- Logical reasoning and critical-thinking questions
- Pre-algebra and algebra
- Expressions, equations, variables, and basic problem-solving

Responsibilities

- Teach Math to students ages 4–14 in small groups of approximately 4–5 students
- Work with multiple students at different grade and ability levels during the same class
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly using age-appropriate teaching methods
- Help students improve their calculation skills, reasoning, accuracy, and confidence
- Teach students how to understand and solve word problems independently
- Prepare students for classwork, homework, assessments, and skill development
- Grade student work and provide transparent, constructive feedback
- Identify learning gaps and provide additional support when required
- Track and update student progress in our portal after every class
- Communicate student progress and concerns to the Center Manager
- Provide progress updates and feedback to parents when required
- Maintain a positive, encouraging,



and structured classroom environment
- Support students with different learning needs and learning speeds
- Attend teacher meetings, training sessions, and program discussions as required

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of elementary and middle-school Math, including introductory algebra
- Valid teaching certificate preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrolment in a relevant university or college program preferred
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is an asset
- Ability to explain Math concepts clearly and patiently
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills
- Comfortable teaching several students at different levels in the same classroom
- Passion for teaching and working with children
- Patient, enthusiastic, compassionate, and encouraging personality
- Comfortable using Google Sheets, online portals, and basic computer tools
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and professional

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys teaching Math and helping children succeed. The right candidate should be able to make challenging concepts easier to understand, motivate students, and develop their confidence in Math.

They must be comfortable teaching students of different ages and grade levels in a time-bound, small-group environment. They should also communicate professionally with parents and the Center Manager, maintain accurate student progress records, and contribute positively to the learning-centre team.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
