Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the Quality Control Technician is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization's quality assurance policies, and identifying defects and or production errors in order to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Please note we are looking for a Night shift and Day shift positions

Job Duties

- Follow the responsibilities of a HACCP team member to consistently ensure the product safety
- Inspect production material as assigned for defects as trained.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on raw materials, in process, and finished products according to HACCP plan requirements
- Record, summarize, and interpret experimental and monitoring data in a neat and orderly manner
- Provide training to new hires
- Participate in regulatory audits (internal and external),



follow up and issuing of corrective actions based on deviations found
- Verify process procedures on regular basis to ensure compliance of finished product and raw materials to established specifications
- Ensure ongoing procedure compliance according to Canadian Food Inspection Agency requirements
- Perform pre-operational check to make sure that no hazards exist before the production starts
- Report defects to the appropriate manager.
- Create and maintain QA control documentation.
- Comply with HACCP, SQF and GMP regulations
