Starting Wage: $19 per hour
Hours: Weekdays split shift 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM (with optional hours during camps and Pro-D days)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Childcare Teacher / Responsible Adult (Flight Crew Member) to join our team for our Afternoon Program.
You’ll be responsible for creating and leading engaging, age-appropriate activities, supporting children’s development, and maintaining a safe, positive classroom environment. You’ll also uphold In Space Childcare’s core standards, values, and licensing requirements as set by Island Health (Community Care Licensing).

Qualifications

- Completion of a Responsible Adult Course or equivalent (minimum 20 hours in child development, guidance, health & safety, or nutrition)

- Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR-C

- Class 4 Driver’s Licence considered an asset (or willingness to obtain; comes with a higher wage at $25 an hour)
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Additional documentation may be requested upon hiring
