We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Moving Operations Supervisor to lead and coordinate all aspects of moving and logistics operations within our distribution and warehouse facilities. Please note: This is not a standard warehouse or retail supervisor role. To be considered you must have a minimum of 5 years of leadership or senior crew experience within a professional residential or commercial moving company. Applications without direct moving industry experience will not be reviewed.

Duties

- Oversee the day to day operations and planning for all Tippet Richardson and Lewis Movers’ operating Divisions
- Oversee all operational crews
- Oversee warehouse activities
- Oversee Local planning and scheduling
- Oversee Long Distance planning and scheduling
- Oversee all operational purchasing and contract management
- Responsible for hiring, training and termination of staff reporting to Operations Manager or reporting to Operations Department
- Responsible for setting and meeting goals determined by senior management for the operations department
- Responsible to set and meet predetermined quality standards




- Ability to interact professionally with all staff, co workers and customers
- Oversee Van Line and Long Distance operations
- Oversee Hauling – assignment of all TR and NAVL equipment through Van Line or via TR authority
- Responsible of maximising Long Distance equipment utilization which includes hiring of qualified drivers
- Assist pricing for all US and Canadian bookings and hauling
- Administration – registration of weight via Van Line and under the correct terms based on pricing methodology. Completion of paperwork and working with accounting to ensure company is paid for services
- Work with other Department Heads and Senior Management to ensure continued growth for LD business in all operating companies
- Oversee claims
- Building and property maintenance
- Oversee CVOR, license, plating, operating authority, fuel reporting and IFTA
- Oversee equipment purchases, maintenance, and breakdowns

Requirements

- Proven experience supervising moving or logistics operations within a manufacturing or warehouse environment for a least 5 years.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management and process optimization.
- Ability to step in,



lift heavy items, and demonstrate proper lifting/packing techniques to crew when needed.
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean driving record (abstract required).
- Ability to safely drive/manoeuver a 26-foot straight truck is a strong asset.
- Flexibility to work early mornings and some weekends, especially during peak moving periods.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
