Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical/Ophthalmic Clinic Assistant, for a prominent Retina Specialist, where your maturity and attention to detail in a fast-paced, busy Ophthalmology clinic will make a meaningful difference to patient care.

In this vital role, stellar attendance is mandatory. You will help to ensure smooth patient flow and kind care of patients, especially the elderly, to maintain efficient clinic operations. The ability to learn quickly, to be organized and focused, with positive math skills, is necessary to collaborate with our team of highly-trained ophthalmic assistants.

Responsibilities

- Performing vision testing, ocular coherence tomography, visual field testing, and auto-refraction on patients
- Preparing surgical trays and assisting Ophthalmologist in clinic surgery
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, test results, and treatment notes, within medical records.




- Order and maintain concise inventory of high quantities of ophthalmic products and medications, for weekly audits
- Ensure the clinic environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with health standards to promote a safe and comfortable space for everyone.

Experience

- Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant qualifications and experience are highly preferred..
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology enhances communication with team
- Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent patient care with professionalism and empathy.
