Our client is an established organization operating across multiple companies in the oil and gas and construction services sectors. This is a senior finance opportunity within a complex, multi-company environment, working closely with operational teams and senior leadership. The organization is focused on strengthening its reporting, forecasting, systems, and internal controls as the business continues to evolve.

The Right Fit:

The Accounting Manager reports to the Director of Finance and leads and develops the Financial Reporting team. This role owns key financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, consolidation, and control processes across 10+ companies. You will also play a key role in the transition of financial reporting to a current financial reporting system and related process improvements.

The right person brings a CPA designation, ~10 years of progressive accounting and leadership experience, strong technical accounting knowledge, and confidence working in a fast-paced, multi-company environment. Strong Excel skills are required.

What You'll be Doing:

- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, including financial statements and variance and ratio analysis.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Reporting team.
- Develop and manage the annual consolidated budget and forecasts for 10+ companies, partnering with operational teams for inputs.
- Lead compliance reporting and help ensure required information and calculations are accurate and timely.




- Lead the transition of financial reporting to the new system.
- Present monthly financial results to senior leadership and review quarterly Board reporting packages.
- Complete complex balance sheet reconciliations, rate builds, consolidations, and elimination entries.
- Support internal controls, annual audit and vendor audit working papers, reporting improvements, and special projects.

What You Bring to the Table:

- CPA designation with 10+ years of progressive accounting and leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and ASPE accounting and disclosure standards.
- Experience in a multi-company environment, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidated reporting.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and the ability to build financial models and analyze financial information.
- Experience implementing, documenting, and maintaining internal controls.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, communication, and change-management skills.
- Experience with SAP Business One and NetSuite is an asset.
