THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION - COVERING FOR ANOTHER EMPLOYEE ON LEAVE (BETWEEN 1-2 YEARS).

We are a small community based Portuguese law firm located at Dundas and Ossington and we are looking for a Full time Real Estate Law Clerk.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing all matters relating to real estate transactions; specifically purchase and sale transactions, institutional and private lender financing with an opportunity to manage commercial transactions in future.
- Drafting and reviewing closing documents, preparing reports and conducting title searches for condos.
- Obtaining title insurance policies for purchase and refinancing transactions.
- Ongoing verbal and written communication with lawyers, law clerks, legal assistants and clients.
- Managing administrative duties related to files, including: opening and closing of files, draft billings and processing of payments.





Qualifications/Experience:

- 2+ years of relevant experience as a Real Estate Clerk
- Excellent communication in English and Portuguese, both verbal and written (preferable)
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficient in standard office software, Teraview, Quintalink and PC Law
- An ability to work independently and as a part of a growing team

Pay: From $38,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- legal assistant: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

- Portuguese (required)
