Modular Precast Systems is a business in Bradford West Gwillimbury, ON, that manufactures and installs both structural and architectural precast. Our state-of-the-art facility produces product for Eastern Canada and the Northeast US market. Our goal is to provide the highest quality precast construction components for our clients.

JOB TITLE: Project Estimator

JOB TYPE: Full-time, Permanent

SALARY: $70,000 - $80,000 /annum (subject to experience)

BENEFITS: Medical Benefits Plan (after 3 months), 15 days vacation

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for precast concrete construction projects. This role requires a positive understanding of precast systems, construction drawings, specifications, and market pricing to ensure bids are complete, competitive, and align with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and project scope documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates for precast components including panels, columns, beams, stairs, and other structural or architectural elements.
- Analyze project risks, material costs, labor requirements, and production capabilities.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, production, and project management teams to develop accurate bids and proposals.




- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for materials and services.
- Prepare pricing breakdowns and value engineering options as required.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.
- Maintain and update historical cost databases and estimating tools.
- Track and report on bid results and maintain records of estimates submitted.
- Ensure all bids comply with company standards, client requirements, and applicable codes.

Skills and Qualifications:

- 5+ years experience in an estimator role.
- Experience in Precast or Concrete (preferred).
- Experience with Bluebeam is a bonus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and hardware lists.
- Ability to work in an active production plant (dust, noise, heavy machinery, etc.)
- Fluent in English is a requirement.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
