Feelings First Counselling & Wellness is a psychotherapy practice in Alliston, Ontario, providing in-person support to individuals in our community and virtually across Ontario.

Our mission is to provide our clients with a safe space to put their feelings first - however that looks to them. Whether it be choosing time to put themselves first, or needing the space to share what is on their minds, their feelings will always be put first with us. We strive to create a warm, open, empathic space where clients and our team can show up as their authentic selves and work towards their own state of wellness.

With multiple therapy formats, flexible bookings, and affordable options, our goal is to provide services to those reaching out without having to wait.

We are looking to add a RP or RSW to our team, with the role of providing in-person and virtual counselling and psychotherapy services to clients.

Role Description

As a subcontractor therapist, you will provide counselling and psychotherapy services to clients with a variety of presenting problems and ages. The delivery of these services currently takes place virtually AND in-person. You must be able to provide in-person services for this role.

Client inquiries are primarily for in-person services.

The Ideal Candidate…

- Is a Registered Psychotherapist registered with the CRPO or is a Registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW and has a Master's Degree relevant to the field.
- Has active & adequate liability insurance in Ontario.
- Can offer a minimum of 10 hours of availability to clients each week. Must be able to provide a minimum of one evening or weekend availability.
- Is self-motivated, independent, responsible and has impeccable time-management skills.
- Can be available to respond to emails and communications in a VERY timely manner.
- Is interested in and capable of providing counselling and therapy to clients experiencing a wide range of mental health struggles and individuals of all ages.
- Has the necessary requirements to provide virtual counselling services including (but not limited to): A quiet, private space, high-speed internet, computer with adequate audio/visual capabilities.

Training in EMDR, and experience/willingness to work with couples and families is considered an asset.
