Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily dispatch of trucks by assigning routes and schedules based on freight demands and delivery deadlines
- Communicate clearly with drivers via multi-line phone systems, ensuring they receive accurate instructions and updates
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments, update statuses, and optimize routing plans
- Maintain detailed records of shipping & receiving activities, including data entry into systems like AS400 and SyteLine
- Monitor freight movements to ensure timely deliveries,



troubleshoot issues promptly, and adjust plans as needed
- Collaborate with supply chain teams and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and special requests
- Conduct analysis of shipping data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings

Qualifications

- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS), AS400, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight operations, and shipping & receiving procedures
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectively
- Proficient in data entry with high accuracy; strong typing skills are essential
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret logistics data for operational insights
- Exceptional organization skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
