About Your Role

As the the experiential production division of YBIMC, YBXMi creates brand experiences that range from pop-up activations to expo, custom displays to immersive experiences. We are expanding production capabilities to create a more connected client journey that starts at creative development through to the finished physical product.

This hands-on position is for someone with strong large-format print operation and prepress experience. You'll work with leadership to build workflows, standards and day-to-day systems for production needs. You know how a good shop should operate, what a good product looks like and are comfortable helping build one.

This isn't simply an operator position in an established print shop. We’re looking for a Large Format Production Specialist that is as invested as we are in bringing a concept to life.

Large Format Production Specialist Will Be Charged With:

- Establishing large-format production operation and processes.
- Operating and maintaining wide-format printing equipment.
- Review and preflight of files for resolution, colour management, sizing, bleeds, cut paths and production requirements.




- Management of files through RIP software and production queues.
- Handling colour matching and maintaining consistent print quality.
- Working with vinyl, adhesive media, banner displays, paper, fabric, rigid media, and other large-format substrates.
- Assist with cutting, trimming, mounting, laminating and finishing.
- Manage materials and consumables and help minimize waste.
- Work closely with designers, project managers, fabricators and outside production partners.
- Build a database of contracted installers for various medium and applications.

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of large-format print, prepress or production experience.
- Hands-on experience with wide-format digital printers and equipment including dye sublimation, rigid, DTF, roll-to-roll, calendar press, plotter/cutter.
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills.
- Experience with RIP software.
- Expert understanding of CMYK/RGB workflows, Pantone colours and colour management.
- Knowledge of common large-format materials and finishing methods along with emerging technologies and media.
- Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Solid attention to detail and production accuracy.
- Organized, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.

• Someone who takes ownership, identifies problems and recommends solutions.• Overarchingly, experience producing large format displays in the areas of dye sublimation, digital cutting, rigid media, vinyl signage, trade shows, events and/or experiential production.

Please note that we are a full time onsite agency – not a remote or hybrid operation. This job requires robust, non-business hours – as we host events in evenings, weekends and some Holidays.
