Responsibilities

- Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for children.
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those with special needs or disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners to support children's needs and progress.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and daily activities to ensure compliance with licensing standards.
- Support children's transition between activities and routines while encouraging independence and positive behavior.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for children requiring special education support.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed diligently to create a secure environment for all children.

Skills





- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset for bilingual environments.
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, childcare practices, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities or special educational needs.
- Proven ability to lead engaging teaching activities that stimulate learning through play and exploration.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom routines, documentation, and time effectively.
- Proficiency in computer operation for record keeping, lesson planning software, and communication tools.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate colleagues and foster teamwork.
- Exceptional writing skills for maintaining detailed reports and communicating with families clearly.

Pay: $25.86 per hour
