Responsibilities

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) to assist in accurate diagnoses
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and efficiency
- Manage patient records accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix
- Provide support for orthodontic procedures and pediatric patients to ensure comfort and compliance
- Maintain a clean,



sterile environment by following infection control protocols diligently
- Communicate effectively with bilingual patients to ensure understanding and comfort throughout their visit

Skills

- Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Experience with dental assisting tasks and patient care coordination
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Previous experience working in a busy dental office workplace is highly preferred
