Quality Control + Production Assistant – Short-Term Contract (4-6 Weeks)

Position Overview
We are seeking 1–2 detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Production Assistants for a 4-6 week contract. This role is hands-on and physically active, involving garment preparation for online sales and trade shows.

You should have excellent eyesight, manual dexterity, and an understanding of fabrics, stitches, and basic garment construction. The role requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive garments from the factory, count, and record inventory accurately.
- Inspect garments for repairs or damage; clip loose threads, look for skipped stitches, missed fabrics in seams etc. Put these garments aside for mending.
- Print and attach barcodes to hang tags and garments to specification.
- Fold garments consistently by style, size, and colour, following our specifications.
- Prepare garments for trade shows by hanging, folding and organizing stock.
- Assist in packing boxes and pallets for shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- Good eyesight and accurate colour distinction.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Sense of urgency and time management.




- Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Basic math skills for inventory management.
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills; able to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Works well both independently and in a team environment.

Bonus Skills (not required but an asset)

- Experience with sewing, fabrics, or garment construction (formal or informal).
- Experience with Shopify, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
- Experience with shipping online orders & customer service.
- Previous fashion industry experience.

Opportunities for Learning

- Training in shipping through Shopify, Canada Post, and Clickship to manage e-commerce orders.

Employment Details

- Contract Dates: Start between October 5 , 2026, and end the second week of November 2025.
- Potential for extension or renewal for the right candidate.
