Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Shop Welder to join our fabrication team in Langley. In this role, you will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing heavy equipment, steel structures, drill components, and related parts. You will work in a quick-paced shop environment and play a hands-on role in maintaining and improving our equipment fleet.

Responsibilities:

- Adhere to all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
- Weld components in flat, vertical and overhead positions (piles, beams, etc.)
- Read blueprints, specifications, production layouts and technical drawings
- Inspect and maintain welding equipment
- Signal equipment operators to move large work pieces
- Fit parts to obtain required configurations
- Use acetylene welding/cutting torch
- Read work orders, instructions, formulas and processing charts
- Handle, install, position and move materials




- Other duties as required.

Qualifications

- Welder certification and several years of relevant experience
- Fabrication experience and equipment operation is an asset
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and machining processes
- Must be able to commute to our Langley shop
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC safety regulations and safe work practices
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in various positions
- Valid drivers license
- Self-motivated and organized
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
