Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Class 1 Flatdeck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating flatdeck trailers and trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and commercial driving will be essential in maintaining smooth logistics operations. Duties

- Safely operate a tractor trailer pulling flatdecks to transport freight, ensuring secure loading and unloading of cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement
- has training in PreTrip Inspections, Hours of Service, Weights & Dimensions, and Load Securement.
- Verify shipment details, documentation, and delivery instructions before departure and upon arrival
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules




- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition

Experience

- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid Alberta Commercial Driver’s License - Class 1
- Proven experience with flatdeck hauling.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques for flatdeck loads
- Familiarity with automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform detailed inspections and maintain accurate records of daily activities

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
