OT4KIDS Inc. is an established pediatric therapy clinic serving children and families in St. Catharines and the Niagara Region. As we continue to expand our pediatric services, we are looking for a motivated and compassionate Pediatric Physiotherapist to join our team as an Independent Contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist who enjoys working with children and families and is looking for flexibility, professional autonomy, and the opportunity to gradually build a pediatric caseload within an established clinic.

OT4KIDS will manage the marketing and promotional activities required to develop the physiotherapy caseload. The Physiotherapist is not expected to independently market or source clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for pediatric clients.
- Develop individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans based on each child's needs and functional goals.
- Provide physiotherapy intervention for children with developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal, and other physical or functional needs.
- Address areas such as gross motor development, strength, balance, coordination,



mobility, gait, posture, flexibility, endurance, and functional participation.
- Establish meaningful treatment goals in collaboration with children and their parents/caregivers.
- Provide parents and caregivers with education, recommendations, exercises, and home programs.
- Monitor progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical findings and functional outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, assessment reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with the clinic's Occupational Therapists and other healthcare or educational professionals when appropriate.
- Manage accepted referrals and provide appropriate follow-up to support continuity of care.
- Build and maintain a sustainable pediatric physiotherapy caseload from referrals and opportunities generated by the clinic.
- Maintain high standards of professional, ethical, evidence-informed, and family-centred care.

Qualifications

- Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Eligible to practise independently in Ontario.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Pediatric physiotherapy experience is preferred; however, Physiotherapists with relevant experience and a strong interest in developing pediatric practice are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with developmental delays, neurological conditions, gross motor difficulties, balance and coordination challenges, mobility, or pediatric musculoskeletal conditions is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid family-centred approach to care.




- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary pediatric team.
- Strong organizational and clinical documentation skills.

Flexible Caseload

We recognize the importance of flexibility for independent practitioners. The Physiotherapist will have flexibility to establish their availability and preferred working schedule and determine the number of referrals they are able to accept.

There is no expectation to begin with a full caseload. The Physiotherapist can start gradually, with OT4KIDS supporting caseload development through clinic marketing, community outreach, existing relationships, and referral initiatives.

As demand for pediatric physiotherapy grows, the contractor will have the opportunity to expand their caseload based on their interest and availability.

Experience

- Proven hospital /clinic experience working with pediatric patients in acute care settings or outpatient clinics
- Strong background in pediatric physiotherapy with a focus on patient-centered care
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pediatric health conditions and treatments
- Experience working with children who have complex medical needs or developmental delays is highly desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively with young patients and their families to foster trust and cooperation
