Job Summary

As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a diverse fleet of paving and heavy construction equipment to support safe and efficient operations. Working both in the shop and in the field, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment including pavers, material transfer vehicles (MTVs), rollers, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and rock trucks.

Salary - $42.00 - $47.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

- Inspect, diagnose, and repair paving equipment such as, pavers, material transfer vehicles (MTV), rollers and heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, rock trucks
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery
- Adheres to all workplace safety regulations and PPE requirements




- Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a hazard-free work environment
- Maintain accurate service records, and repair reports in JDE
- Provide on-road troubleshooting and emergency repairs to minimize downtime
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills

Qualifications:

- 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License (310T License may be considered)
- 2+ years of experience in a related mechanical field
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, rock trucks)
- Ability to diagnose and rectify results
- Valid “G” Driver’s License is required
- Possess own set of tools
- Ability to work some weekends, if required
- MS Office (specifically Excel)
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and software
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Willingness to work in outdoor/field environments and handle physically demanding tasks

Pay: $42.00-$47.00 per hour
