Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Floater Dental Assistant/Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our busy dental practice. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix dental practice management software.
- Assist the dental team during procedures by preparing materials, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix.
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and providing excellent customer service.
- Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
- Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments, confirming upcoming visits, and coordinating patient flow efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with dental terminology standards and maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Receptionist in a dental office.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Proficiency with Dentrix dental software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and insurance providers via front desk operations and multi-line phone systems.
- Demonstrated administrative experience supporting busy front desks in healthcare environments.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
