- To provide direct services to clients and families in the Non-Residential Attendance Centre programs
- To develop and implement treatment goals and intervention strategies in partnership with Youth Justice team members, youth and their families
- To provide clinical resource(s) to colleagues in the agency and provide consultation and services as required
- Provide clinical interviews for purposes of assessment/screening for risk of suicidal lethality, undiagnosed mental health of other crises based situations, including afterhours as required
- To collect data through multiple sources
- Provide direct clinical social work services in formats of individual, group and family counselling
- Evaluate intervention effectiveness on an ongoing bases and adjust as needed
- To assist primary workers with case management through developing appropriate written treatment plans

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Social Work with experience working with youth and their families with complex needs in a multidisciplinary setting




- Registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OASWSSW) and in good standing
- Minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience in social work theory and evidence based practices; legislation, policies, procedures of Youth Criminal Justice Act; human development, emotional, physical and mental health needs of youth and families, sensitivity to cultural diversity
- Strong ethical decision making, organization/time management and oral and written communication skills
- Police Record Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Screening is required. NVCI, CPR, First Aid Certificate, immunization record, medical clearance, a valid Ontario Class "g" driver's license and access to a vehicle is required prior to working directly with clients. Will be expected to work irregular hours as required by client of program needs, which may include evenings and weekends
