Busy west end clinic looking for a flexible part time preferred Experienced Medical Office Assistant to join our rapid paced, multi schedule team. We are looking for someone who is punctual and organized, communicative ready and willing to work. Someone who is friendly, engaged to learn, can adapt to change easily, outgoing and enthusiastic. High school diploma or equivalent

Post-secondary education

MOA Diploma is a must from an accredited school, able to present certificate.

Key Skills and Competencies

Medical knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and ethics

Administrative skills: Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, filing, faxing, and scanning documents

Technical proficiency: Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems(Health Quest), medical billing software

Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies

Organizational skills: Ability to multitask is a must, maintain attention to detail is a must, and manage office workflow efficiently independently or in team.

Customer service orientation: Providing compassionate, empathetic and qualified care to patients

Interpersonal skills: Ability to work with diverse, strong personality patients and staff, demonstrating empathy and professionalism

Experience

Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a must or preferred.

Experience may include roles such as medical receptionist, medical secretary, or medical assistant,



which provide exposure to patient interaction and office administration

In this Position you may be required to perform clinical skills such as accurately booking appointments on multiple physician schedules or preparing reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories, and medical records.

- Prompting patients to complete required forms or other documents, or help patients complete health history forms.

-Transcribe handwritten notes, electronic dictation, or oral instructions from Physicians

-Complete insurance and other claim forms. Submit billing claims independently and accurately.

- Answering a Multi-Line phone system, must be able to prompt patients your placing others on hold and answering in order sequence fluently.

-Navigate incoming mail

-Operate complex office equipment such as photocopiers, fax machines, and document scanners, must scan all patient information into system as it comes, must be able to index incoming scans properly and shred all patient information immediately.

-Must working as a team to complete all incoming daily worklist before end of day that physician send to front team.

-Keep front desk, waiting area and examination rooms clean, orderly, and stocked with supplies daily





-Perform minor medical duties, such as preparing the exam room between patients, collecting sample's per patient visit, preparing cryogen, ear flush, preparing female or male exams, handing out patient resources.

-Taking proper vital signs needed per patient visit and help with examinations (Chaperone).

-Perform other clerical and administrative functions, such as helping in communicating when medical supplies is running low. Book Ultrasounds, ECHOs, or any requisition based appointments for patient when asked, opening WCB and obtaining employer information, preparing injections or female procedures. Must be able to follow clinic process for all patient referrals from start to end.

Adaptability: Ability to work in fast paced environments and handle changing healthcare demands

Problem-solving skills: Managing scheduling conflicts, patient inquiries, and office-related issues

Self- Starter: Able to pick up work from team when needed, is a must to work independently along side a team.

Communication: Must be able to openly communicate with Team.

Active Listener: Able to hear and complete Physician requests for patients. Must listen and ask questions to all instructions given between Manager and Team to be able to work efficiently.
