Position Overview

As a Health Care Aide with Qualicare, you will provide personalized care and support based on each client's individual needs and care plan. You will work closely with clients, families, and the Qualicare care team to ensure safe, respectful, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Assist clients with transfers, positioning, and safe ambulation as appropriate.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping related to the client's care and safety.
- Support clients with maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition, behaviour, or overall well-being to the appropriate member of the care team.
- Follow individualized care plans and all Qualicare policies and procedures.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients, families, caregivers, and the office team.
- Promote client dignity, privacy, independence,



and choice at all times.
- Follow infection prevention and control practices and workplace safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

- Current Health Care Aide (HCA) certification/registration in Alberta, as applicable.
- Experience in home care, seniors' care, dementia care, or a related setting is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and respectful approach to client care.
- Ability to work independently while following a care plan and seeking support when needed.
- Valuable observation and documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Reliable transportation is an asset, depending on client assignments.
- Ability to provide a current criminal record check/vulnerable sector check and other required documentation.

Positions may include assignments in St. Albert and surrounding communities, depending on client needs and your availability.
