Experienced Cocktail Bartender — Bar Bijou

Collingwood, Ontario

Base wage: $17.60/hour, increasing to $17.95/hour October 1, 2026.

Our bartenders currently average approximately $15-$30/hour in tips. Tips vary by shift, sales and business levels and are not guaranteed.

Bar Bijou is an intimate cocktail bar in downtown Collingwood built around outstanding drinks, warm hospitality and a room that feels different from anywhere else in town.

We're looking for an experienced bartender who knows their craft, enjoys looking after people and wants to take real ownership of the guest experience.

The Role

Bijou is a small room, which means the bartender is at the centre of the experience.

You'll make cocktails with precision and consistency, guide guests through the menu, recommend drinks and spirits, and create the kind of easy, attentive hospitality that turns first-time guests into regulars.

You'll take ownership of your bar - proper setup, prep, stocking, glassware, cleanliness and organization - and make sure every drink leaving your station meets the standard.

When it gets busy, we need someone who stays composed, works quickly and doesn't sacrifice quality. When it's quieter, we need someone who knows how to engage the room, look after regulars and create an atmosphere people want to stay in.

This isn't a role where you're simply making drinks and waiting for the next ticket. We're looking for a bartender who wants to help build a great bar.

What You Bring

- 2+ years of bartending experience, ideally in a cocktail bar or quality full-service restaurant
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails,



spirits and proper bar technique
- Genuine interest in cocktails and hospitality
- Confident, engaging guest presence
- Fast, organized and composed during busy service
- High standards for cleanliness, presentation and consistency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays
- Smart Serve certification
