The Travel Bug offers thoughtfully selected travel goods, bags, and accessories. The Bee’s Knees is an eco-minded general store featuring helpful, beautiful, and more sustainable products for everyday life.

We’re looking for a Retail Manager to lead both stores and support one shared team. We welcome applicants with a range of retail, leadership, and customer-service experiences.

THE ROLE

You’ll oversee daily operations across both businesses while helping create a respectful, inclusive, and positive team culture.

Responsibilities include:

● Lead, support, schedule, and develop employees working across both stores

● Provide welcoming, accessible, and knowledgeable customer service

● Support sales goals and contribute to the success of both stores

● Oversee opening, closing, cash procedures, and daily operations

● Train team members on products, service, and selling skills

● Manage inventory, receiving, replenishment, and merchandising

● Keep both stores organized, inviting, accessible, and aligned with their individual identities

● Monitor store performance and identify opportunities for improvement

● Encourage ideas, collaboration, and initiative across the team

● Support online shopping operations and maintain the Shopify store

● Help create a workplace where team members feel respected, supported, and able to contribute

YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

● Have experience in retail, customer service,



team leadership, or a related environment

● Enjoy supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace

● Are organized and able to manage multiple priorities

● Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members

● Enjoy learning about products and sharing information with customers

● Have an interest in travel, sustainability, design, and thoughtfully selected consumer goods

● Are adaptable and comfortable working across two distinct stores

● Are willing to learn, ask questions, and take initiative

● Have experience with cloud-based POS systems or website management.

● Bring a collaborative approach and a sense of humour to your work
