Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our team for a fully remote opportunity in Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and SQL and should be comfortable working in an Agile development workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications.

- Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build and maintain Microservices and distributed applications.

- Work with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code. Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and production support. Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other developers. Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis. Develop unit and integration tests and ensure application quality. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning. Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices. Contribute to technical documentation and development best practices.

Required Skills





- 5+ years of professional Java development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+.

- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

- Experience developing RESTful APIs.

- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.

- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

- Experience with JPA/Hibernate.

- Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.

- Experience with JUnit/Mockito or similar testing frameworks.

- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms.

- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

- Knowledge of Redis, Elasticsearch, or NoSQL databases.

Experience with enterprise-level applications.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
