Job Overview

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and motivated Experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk / Deal Poster to join our accounting team. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities, combining accounts receivable, customer account management, collections, and vehicle deal posting.

The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances, and accurately processing vehicle sales transactions. Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances and overdue payments.
- Process, record, and accurately apply incoming payments.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding account inquiries, billing questions, and payment discrepancies.




- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and assist with payment arrangements as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records.
- Prepare and provide accounts receivable reports for management review.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company credit and collection policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Parts, Service, Sales, and Finance departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and account processing.

Vehicle Deal Posting

- Accurately post new, used, wholesale, and fleet vehicle sales into the dealership accounting system.
- Review accounting schedules. Identify and process required adjustments or corrections.
- Verify deal documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with dealership policies and procedures.
- Maintain organized records of vehicle transactions and related documentation.
- Ensure vehicle deals are posted accurately and in a timely manner to support dealership accounting and month-end processes.
- Review and maintain accounting schedules for discrepancies and post adjustments by journal entry.

- Previous experience with payment arrangements and customer account collections is an asset.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a related accounting role;
- Automotive dealership experience required.
- Minimum Education Requirements: Accounting Certificate or Diploma.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Experience with dealership accounting systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds CDK, PBS is an asset.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information professionally.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
