About the Role

Jaffer Group is seeking a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Handyman/Handywoman to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining our residential and commercial properties to a high standard, ensuring they remain safe, functional, clean, and well-presented for tenants and visitors.

Jaffer Group is a diversified Edmonton-based organization with interests across property management, construction, hospitality, data management, and long-term investments.

Our property division manages a growing mix of commercial buildings, residential apartments, and rental properites across Edmonton and surrounding area.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

- Perform daily walkthroughs of buildings and properties.
- Inspect locks, security systems, heating, plumbing, boilers, and other building systems.
- Complete general maintenance and repairs, including:
- Painting and patching
- Carpentry
- Light plumbing
- Basic electrical work
- General repairs and preventative maintenance
- Identify maintenance issues proactively and resolve them efficiently.
- Operate hand and power tools safely to complete assigned tasks.
- Lift, move, and transport materials and equipment as required.
- Respond to on-call maintenance requests when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work.
- Ensure all buildings, common areas, mechanical rooms, and work sites are kept clean, organized, and tidy at all times.
- Maintain a professional, courteous attitude when interacting with tenants, contractors, and team members.

Qualifications:





- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required (preferably a truck).
- Proven experience in general building maintenance and repairs.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as multimeters.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving materials.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify maintenance issues before they become major problems.
- Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
