POSITION SUMMARY:

The Day and Stay Program provides meaningful daytime activities, care, and respite services for older adults and their caregivers. Reporting to the Administrator, the Manager provides clinical and operational leadership to ensure clients receive safe, person-centred care while supporting the long-term quality, compliance, and sustainability of the program.

The Manager, Day and Stay Program is responsible for the overall operation and management of the Program, including clinical oversight, staffing, budget management, risk management, IPAC, quality improvement, compliance, and client care.

The Manager ensures the Program meets all Ontario Health M-SAA (Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreement) requirements and reporting deadlines and works closely with clients, families, health care providers, community agencies, Ontario Health, and Brantford General Hospital.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee the daily operations and delivery of the Day and Stay Program.
- Ensure compliance with M-SAA, Ontario Health requirements, legislation, and John Noble Home policies.
- Lead client assessments, care planning, risk management, and ongoing evaluation of client needs.
- Oversee staffing, recruitment, orientation, performance management, scheduling, education, and safe staffing levels.
- Manage the Program budget, billing, accounts receivable/payable, petty cash, and financial reporting.
- Complete and submit all required Ontario Health reports, quality indicators, and funding documentation within established timelines.
- Lead IPAC, quality improvement, risk management, audits, and accreditation activities.




- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to support safe, high-quality client care.
- Maintain client privacy and confidentiality and ensure compliance with PHIPA.
- Oversee volunteers and student placements, including required screening, education, and safety requirements.
- Liaise with families, caregivers, physicians, BGH, Ontario Health, community paramedicine, Alzheimer Society, BSO, and other community partners.
- Participate in ALC and discharge planning initiatives with Brantford General Hospital.
- Participate in relevant community, regional, and John Noble Home committees.
- Identify and pursue grant and funding opportunities for the Program.
- Support community education, outreach, fundraising, and Family Advisory Council activities.
- Provide on-call support and administrative guidance as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- RN or RPN Diploma and registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
- Minimum 3-5 years progressive experience supporting older adults, including individuals living with dementia or cognitive impairment, combined with demonstrated leadership or program-management experience in community care, adult day services, long-term care, or a related health-care setting.
- Demonstrated experience leading staff and managing program operations, budgets,



quality improvement, risk, and funder reporting.
- Food Handler Certification or a willingness to obtain certification within one month of hire.
- Valid driver’s licence, insurance, and reliable vehicle required.
- GPA and P.I.E.C.E.S. training are considered assets.
- Health & Safety Certification considered an asset.
- Experience with PointClickCare, RAI-HC, RAI-CHA, RAI-CA, IAR, and HPG considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge and experience in dementia, cognitive impairment, delirium, assessment, care planning, and risk management.
- Solid clinical judgment, critical thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of community support services, discharge planning, and long-term care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict regulatory deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
