BAMSS Contracting Inc. is a trucking company where the head office is based out of Lacombe, Alberta. We are currently opening up a new location in Fort Saskatchewan where we are looking to hire 2-3 mechanics to service and maintain trucks and trailers. We have a fleet of late-model Freightliner tractors and LPG and condensate trailers. Experience with Detroit Engines is an asset. Looking to hire Contractor Mechanics, Journeymen and apprentice heavy duty mechanics.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance on equipment; oil changes, tire rotations, grease, belt replacement, etc.

Inspect trucks and trailers for any issues before going out on driver's shift

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete repairs on trucks and trailers

Provide instructions and assistance to apprentice mechanics

Complete required maintenance records and fleet maintenance records for all repairs and maintenance completed





Communicate and coordinate repairs and maintenance issues/requirements with Operations team

Requirements:

1-3 years of mechanic experience required for apprentice mechanics

Knowledge of Detroit engines is an asset

Ability to work in a team setting

Ability to work with other Heavy Duty Mechanics, apprentice mechanics, and shop staff

Journeyman Certificate Heavy Duty Mechanic

Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic trade status

CVIP License is an asset

Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver's License is an asset

Pay: $20.00-$60.00 per hour

- Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L 2S4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- mechanical: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Journeyman (preferred)
- Trade Certificate (preferred)
