Prairie Co-operative is hiring a permanent full-time Junior Accountant at our Administration Office in Melville, SK.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Junior Accountant will be responsible for performing a range of general accounting activities, including supporting the analysis and preparation of financial reports and statements.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing, reviewing, and verifying inventory and margin calculations on a period basis
- Support financial statement processing
- Complete account reconciliations, ensure accuracy, completeness and timely resolutions for discrepancies
- Responsible for developing a robust understanding of Prairie Co-op accounting procedures while collaborating with and supporting team members.




- May be required to travel across locations to provide training, guidance, and support
- Other duties as assigned

Who you are:

- You have an Accounting Certificate or Diploma.
- You have 1-3 years of relevant experience
