We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our amazing eye care team. The ideal candidate will support daily clinic operations, assist with patient care, and ensure a smooth patient experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical environment, providing essential support to optometrists and patients alike. Prior experience in medical offices or optical settings is preferred, along with strong communication skills, ability to multi-task in business office enviroments and a passion for delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

- Greet patients and manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and checking patients in/out
- Assist with patient care by gathering medical histories and explaining procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and assist optometrists during eye exams
- Manage electronic medical records
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans
- Educate patients on optical products, insurance details, and aftercare instructions




- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinic workplace
- Support administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance verifications

Experience

- Prior experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Experience working in optical or retail sales environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care or pediatrics is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and communication
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple responsibilities

We are looking for an ideal candidate to start part-time hours, approximately 2-3 days per week, and growing to full-time, including Saturdays.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
