We're looking for a Press Brake Operator who runs their own station like they own it. This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what's next. We need someone who thinks ahead, uses common sense, and delivers when the schedule is tight.
What you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC press brakes to form sheet and plate parts from engineering drawings and work orders
- Select and install tooling, calculate bend allowances and sequences, and program or adjust at the controller
- Work in mild steel, stainless, and aluminum across a range of gauges and part sizes
- Inspect your own parts and document results to AS9100 requirements
- Look ahead at upcoming jobs: check material, tooling, and drawings before the work hits your machine, and raise problems early instead of at the deadline
- Own your output: quality, quantity, and on-time delivery are tracked, and you'll be accountable for yours
- Work with the laser, welding, and QC teams to keep jobs moving
Who you are
- Self-led. You manage your own day, prioritize your own queue, and don't need a supervisor over your shoulder
- Proactive. You see the problem coming and fix it or flag it before it costs time or material
- Practical. You apply common sense. If something looks wrong on the drawing or the part, you stop and ask rather than bend 200 of them
- Accountable. You own your mistakes, fix them, and don't repeat them
- Steady under pressure. Rush jobs and hard deadlines are part of this business, and you stay accurate when the heat is on
- Available. Overtime and weekend work are a regular part of this role when customer deadlines require it. If that doesn't fit your life, this isn't the right job
What you bring
- 3+ years of press brake experience in a job shop or precision fabrication environment
- Strong blueprint reading, including GD&T; basics and flat pattern interpretation
- Ability to set up independently, not just run production from someone else's setup
- Solid shop math and bend calculations
- Eligibility to pass a Controlled Goods Program security assessment
Nice to have
- AS9100 or ISO 9001 shop experience
- Offline bend programming
- forklift tickets
- Experience on other fab equipment (laser, shear, rolls)
