Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man or Woman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, enabling them to tackle various tasks efficiently, or the ability to learn on the job. The Handy Person will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and installations as needed. Our company does Kitchen & bathroom renovations, drywall repairs, wood & tile floor installations, carpentry, fence and deck repairs, and odd jobs. Ability to learn new skills is a must.

Our clients are Condo & Office Buildings as well as individul home owners.

Valid drivers license required. Vehicle is an asset. Company vehicle supplied after 3 months. Tools required (or aquire as you go). Smart phone required. Ability to work indoors and outdoors as the jobs are different all the time.

Ability to learn, follow direction is key for this role. This is a long term position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Perform general repairs on buildings and homes, including drywall repairs, painting, carpentry, and odd jobs as assigned.
- Install fixtures, appliances, and equipment as required.
- Maintain tools and equipment in valuable working order.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all work performed.
- Assist with renovations or improvements as directed.




- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding project status and any issues that arise.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Handy Person or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various repair techniques and tools, or aptitude to learn on the job.
- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing fixtures is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of drywall repairs and painting is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of laminate floor installation is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical condition; ability to lift objects and perform occasional manual labor.
- Valid driver's license required. Vehicle an asset.
- Smart phone with data plan.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
