I-XL Building Products is seeking an experienced, safety-focused Yard/Forklift Operator to join their busy Edmonton branch. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service, and thrives in a physically demanding, fast-paced workplace.

As one of the key distribution hubs, the Edmonton location requires a dependable team player who can confidently operate a forklift, efficiently load and unload building materials, assist customers and contractors, and help keep the yard operating safely and smoothly year-round. This role involves regular outdoor work in all weather conditions and frequent heavy lifting of materials weighing up to 100 lbs.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Wage: $24.00 per hour to start plus benefits after three months

We're looking for someone who:

- Has a valid forklift certification and a minimum of 2-3 years of forklift operating experience in a yard, warehouse, building supply, construction, or related environment.
- Demonstrates safe and confident forklift operation while handling heavy building materials.
- Provides exceptional customer service and enjoys interacting with contractors, builders, and homeowners.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
- Is physically fit and capable of regularly lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Is comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions.
- Has a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and a proven record of reliability.
- Possesses strong communication skills and works effectively as part of a team.




- Understands and follows workplace health and safety practices.
- Holds a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Is legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Can successfully complete a background check.

Preferred:

- Experience in the building materials, construction supply, landscaping, masonry, or lumber industry.
- Previous experience serving customers in a retail, wholesale, or contractor-focused environment.
