Hewson Brothers Building Supply is currently looking for a Warehouse Assistant for our Niagara location.
Hewson Brothers is a building supply company that is based of Brantford, Cambridge and Niagara. We specialize in the delivery of building supplies such as drywall, steel, insulation, ceiling tile and other supplies.
Job responsibilities:
· Perform work duties around the yard, including cleaning, helping load trucks
and assisting customers.
· Prepare loads for pickup by pre-picking the material and confirming quantities against the sales orders
or transfers.
· Assisting with maintaining an organized warehouse, clean and logically sorted for
effective picking of materials.
· Receive material orders from manufacturing partners and associated branches,
ensuring quantities are accurate and free of damage.
· Transfer materials from truck deliveries to designated warehouse locations.
· Work well with others as this is a team environment.
· Operating a forklift to move materials.
· Valid Fork lift certificate is require.
. Valid Fork Class G Licence with clear record is require.
· Assist yard and office staff as needed.
· Report damaged or missing materials or equipment.
· Heavy and repetitive lifting of materials 50+ lbs.
· Must be able to work flexible hours.
· Must have mandatory health and training safety up to date.
· Abide by all rules of the road and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
This Warehouse Assistant role is integral to the seamless operation of our distribution center. We value candidates who are proactive, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute their skills toward a well-organized warehouse environment.
Pay: $22.00-$23.50 per hour

- Niagara Falls, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Warehouse: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (required)
