Chios Artisan Bakery is looking for a reliable, experienced, and detail-oriented Night Baker to join our growing bakery team.

This is a key production position responsible for baking, finishing, decorating, and organizing our products throughout the night so that everything is fresh, beautiful, and ready for our customers when we open in the morning.

What You’ll Do

- Work independently during overnight hours to complete the bakery’s daily production
- Bake and finish a variety of croissants, pastries, cookies, muffins, and other bakery products, no production needed
- Operate commercial bakery equipment
- Follow baking schedules, temperatures, and production standards
- Prepare pastries for their final presentation, including filling, glazing, topping, garnishing, and decorating
- Prepare and finish products according to Chios presentation standards
- Ensure all products are baked consistently in terms of colour, texture, size, and quality
- Prepare products and quantities required for the following day's service
- Organize baked products properly for the morning team and display
- Keep the bakery, equipment, work surfaces, trays, and tools clean and organized throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Properly store ingredients and finished products
- Communicate production issues, shortages, or quality concerns to management

What We’re Looking For

- Previous skilled bakery or pastry experience is strongly preferred




- Experience with laminated pastries and croissants is an asset
- Solid attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and punctual — overnight production requires someone we can depend on
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive physical tasks
- Able to lift and move bakery trays, ingredients, and supplies as required
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Schedule

Overnight / Night Shift

The exact schedule will be discussed based on needs and candidate availability.

Typical shift will begin late after midnight and continue through the early morning, with the goal of having the bakery fully prepared for our 8:00 AM opening.
