The Automotive Technician will report directly to the Plant Manager or his/her designate. They will be responsible for all mechanical equipment at the plant and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all existing machinery, forklifts, and Bobcats.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Do all maintenance activities at the plant.

Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.

Monitor spare parts inventory and place orders when necessary.

Maintain mechanical systems of plant to ensure functionality.

Make and implement all preventive maintenance plans.

Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities.

Maintain all forklifts, bobcats, skid stairs, Load lifters,



and Sweeper.

Ensure that the designated plant is fit for purpose and provides proactive support/solutions when required.

Ensure health and safety policies are complied with the Company.

All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

High School or Technical Mechanical Diploma.

3+ years’ experience with heavy equipment such as roll crushers, finger crushers, compressors, elevators, and motors.

Extensive knowledge of bearings and gear boxes, forklifts, Bobcats, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and vendor management.

Basic welding skills are an asset.

Experience with forklift or Bobcat operation is required. Certification is an asset.

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Experience:

- roll & fingers crushers, compressors, elevators, and motors.: 3 years (required)
- Gear Boxes: 1 year (preferred)
- Forklifts & Bobcats: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
