About Us:

Quantum Kidz inspires creativity and teaches S.T.E.A.M. concepts through workshops for students in Grades 1 through 6 at their school during lunchtime and after school.

We believe in the power of educational play and the endless possibilities that LEGO® bricks offer. We aim to foster a fun learning environment where young students can unleash their imaginations and develop new skills.

Job Description:

We seek an enthusiastic, reliable, and creative Workshop Instructor to inspire young learners and positively influence their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct Workshops: Lead and facilitate LEGO® workshops for grades 1-6 participants, creating a fun, engaging learning environment that sparks creativity and curiosity while showing your commitment to safety and well-being.
- Provide Instruction: Teach and demonstrate S.T.E.A.M. concepts and structure builds to students.
- Encourage Creativity: Inspire and motivate participants to think creatively and explore new building possibilities.
- Monitor Progress: Assist students as needed, providing encouragement and support to help them complete their projects.
- Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe, organized workshop environment by adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Manage Materials: Sort and organize the LEGO® bricks and other materials to ensure they are in order and ready for the upcoming workshop.
- Engage with Quantum Kidz Head Office: Communicate your workshop attendance and provide feedback as needed.

Qualifications:

Commitment: Able to work 4-5 weekdays a week at lunchtime, October to June.

Passion:



A genuine love for teaching young students and LEGO® building.

Teaching Experience: Previous experience teaching children, being a camp counsellor or coaching young participants, and leading structured activities or workshops for children.

Creativity and Imagination: Ability to think creatively and effectively run innovative workshop activities.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and engage participants.

Patience and Enthusiasm: A patient and enthusiastic attitude that inspires and motivates students.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage workshop materials and maintain a tidy workspace.

Background Check: Given the nature of working with children and school protocol, a background check and a current Vulnerable Sector Police Check are necessary.
