Duties

- Prepare and assemble event spaces according to specifications, including staging, seating, lighting, and audio-visual equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on venue facilities, including electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and plumbing to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems for facility management when necessary.
- Supervise or assist with the setup team during large events, providing leadership and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct inspections of facilities before and after events to identify repairs or improvements needed; maintain detailed records of maintenance work performed.




- Respond promptly to facility issues or emergencies with a customer service-oriented mindset, minimizing downtime or disruptions.
- Comfortable performing physical work and lifting/moving tables and chairs

Requirements

- Proven supervising experience in facilities maintenance or event setup environments As an asset but not required.
- Electrical experience including wiring, circuit analysis, and safety standards compliance is an asset.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or industrial facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear instructions and team coordination.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams effectively during setup or maintenance tasks.
- Customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients and event attendees.
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Available for evening and weekend shifts

Schedule

Part-time and casual hours based on our event schedule.

Most shifts will be Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and other event days.
