Torques Diesel Inc. is growing, and we are looking for experienced Underground Heavy Equipment Technicians / Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our Mining Division.

We are currently hiring for multiple underground mining operations across Canada and are looking for experienced technicians who are comfortable working in demanding underground environments and maintaining a diverse range of mobile mining equipment.

The Role

As an Underground Heavy Equipment Technician with Torques Diesel, you may be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of underground mobile mining equipment.

Depending on the site and position, equipment may include:

- Sandvik and Epiroc underground equipment
- Underground haul trucks and LHDs/scooptrams
- Jumbos
- Bolters
- Longhole drills
- Production and development drills
- Utility and support vehicles
- Minecat and other underground personnel carriers
- Diesel engines and powertrain systems
- Hydraulic and electrical systems

Responsibilities may include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, component replacement, breakdown repairs, inspections, and major equipment repairs.

What We're Looking For

We are primarily interested in technicians with previous underground mining experience.

Ideal candidates will have:

- Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic experience
- Previous underground mining experience
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and diesel systems
- Experience with underground mobile mining equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a mine maintenance team
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship




- Valid driver's licence
- Underground Common Core or equivalent mine training where required by the position

Red Seal certification is an asset, but we are interested in speaking with experienced underground mechanics who have demonstrated knowledge and ability in the field.
