We are currently looking to hire Industrial Sewer for our client in Burlington. Please read the job description below:

- Responsible for the manufacture and assembly of all tarp components from initiation to final product (including any finish goods packaging, if required) Responsible for being able to sew, heat weld, grommet, rope in the manufacture of all tarps. Responsible for correctly reading and interpreting work orders, identify correct material for manufacturing, cut material to the correct size for manufacturing all parts of the tarp – offering any process improvements Responsible for completing mobile tarp repairs for customer service for all drive –through tarp repairs. Responsible for creating masks for graphics for tarps as required. Responsible for making every effort to get each tarp task done within the prescribed timelines for the task. Read and interpret all order specifications and details and communicate effectively and accurately the requirements to other install team members. Responsible for assisting or guiding other tarp shop team members on tasks to be undertaken on each order and sets priority for work and work assignments. Assists other team members in completing work when required. Troubleshoots and resolves tarp issues to keep work completion on target for delivery dates. Responsible for following all health and safety regulations and wearing PPE.



Responsible for ensuring all work identified on the work order is completed with adherence to quality and standard timelines for completion of the work Assists with inventory management, and identifies any inventory shortages that may impact assembly and installation prior to work on unit commencing and communicates needs to purchasing/production. Complete Quality Control check on all work completed and check for rolling performance, branding and adherence to customer order details. Informs supervisor of any challenges with order, problems identified with completing work on time estimated time for order completion. Other duties as assigned

Candidate should have a minimum of 4 years in the tarpaulin or industrial fabric manufacturing such as tents or awnings. Candidate must have a high school diploma; must be able to lift 50 lbs; must speak English;

must be able to read a tape measure. Candidate should have positive manual dexterity. Ability to learn and follow directions and be detail orientated. Candidate must be reliable and able to work overtime when required. The candidate

must be able to work independently, or as part of a team, must have excellent priority setting skills and have excellent

organizational skills. Must be able to work while standing on a ladder. Candidate should be physically fit, be able to sit,

stand, bend, and lift 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
