Can you see yourself supporting records management activities by processing physical records, maintaining inventories, and creating indexes that improve information retrieval? As a Records Management Student, you will gain hands-on experience in records management, information governance, and archival practices while helping preserve valuable corporate information assets.

All students applying for student positions at CNL must be returning to full time studies upon completion of their work term. Exceptions will be made for students who require a work term to graduate.

What you will be doing!
- Processing and organizing hardcopy records to support efficient storage, retrieval, and record management activities.
- Creating and maintaining file indexes and metadata to improve information accessibility and retrieval.
- Preparing, labeling, and packing records for onsite and offsite storage in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintaining records centre storage areas while adhering to safety requirements and records management standards.
- Assisting with preserving and rehousing historical records and special media formats to support long-term accessibility and protection of information assets.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:

- Enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Information Management, Library and Information Studies, Archives, History or Records Management.

Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with records, indexes, inventories, and data entry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office to support records management and information governance activities.
- Communicates effectively through strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Works independently while managing multiple tasks and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborates effectively with team members in a professional environment.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security".
Working Conditions:
- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
