A great opportunity for an accountant who enjoys working with numbers, solving discrepancies and taking ownership of their reconciliations. You’ll gain broad exposure across multi-currency banking, corporate credit cards, SOX controls, month-end and quarterly reporting while working as part of a dynamic accounting team.

This is a 3-month contract. Our client will be advertising a permanent role; should performance align there could be a chance to interview for the permanent role.

What – The Role:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accountant, Bank Reconciliations will be responsible for the reconciliation of multiple bank accounts across currencies, company credit card reconciliations, as well as other tasks as assigned. Duties consist of reviewing, investigating, and reconciling account activity, as well as preparing journal entries in a high-volume environment.



Other responsibilities will include assisting with audit requests and other month-end and quarter-end procedures.

- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple CAD and USD accounts
- Prepare monthly bank reporting packages as part of SOX compliance controls
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items and account discrepancies
- Reconciliation of multiple company credit cards
- Prepare journal entries
- Assist with audit requests
- Support month-end procedures
- Support quarterly reporting requirements
- Reconciliation projects as assigned
- Other duties and projects as assigned

Who – the Candidate:

- Strong analytical skills and very detail oriented
- Strong organizational & time management abilities
- Able to clearly and concisely present, both visually and verbally, complicated reconciliation data
- 2+ years bank reconciliation or general ledger reconciliation experience
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred
- Experience with AI an asset

How much:

$38-$40/hr + 4% vacation pay.

Where:

Vancouver, hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite, 2 remote.
