AfterQuery partners with leading AI research organizations to improve how advanced AI systems understand aerospace engineering, aircraft systems, and flight-critical design decisions. We are seeking experienced Aerospace Engineer Experts to create realistic engineering scenarios, evaluate technical solutions, and contribute expert knowledge to the training of next-generation AI systems.

This opportunity is ideal for aerospace engineers with hands-on experience in aircraft, spacecraft, propulsion systems, structural analysis, aerodynamics, flight mechanics, or guidance, navigation, and control (GNC). You will help assess AI-generated engineering solutions, identify technical flaws, and ensure engineering reasoning aligns with real-world aerospace practices and industry standards.

The work is fully remote, flexible, and focused on authentic aerospace engineering challenges. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

- Author realistic aerospace engineering scenarios spanning requirements definition, design, analysis, testing, and design review processes.
- Create expert reference solutions that explain engineering assumptions, calculations, trade-offs, and decision-making rationale.
- Evaluate AI-generated aerospace engineering content for technical accuracy and engineering validity.
- Review aircraft, spacecraft, propulsion, structures, aerodynamics, and systems engineering solutions.
- Identify unsafe assumptions, design flaws, performance limitations, and compliance issues.
- Assess engineering outputs against applicable aerospace standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Provide structured written feedback to improve AI-generated engineering reasoning.
- Contribute expertise in flight systems, certification, testing, and engineering analysis workflows.

Required Qualifications




- Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of professional aerospace engineering experience.
- Expertise in at least one area such as aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, flight mechanics, systems engineering, or guidance, navigation, and control (GNC).
- Strong understanding of aerospace engineering principles and design processes.
- Experience reviewing engineering analyses, technical documentation, or design reviews.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications
- Flight test, ground test, or wind tunnel testing experience.
- Expertise with engineering analysis tools such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), or multidisciplinary design optimization.
- Airworthiness, certification, or regulatory experience involving FAA, EASA, or equivalent authorities.
- Experience in aircraft, spacecraft, UAV, defense, launch vehicle, or advanced air mobility programs.
- MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- Interest in AI, engineering automation, and emerging aerospace technologies.
