Duties

- Assist in preparing a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and desserts, following established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision using various cake decorating techniques to ensure visual appeal
- Support the food preparation process by measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling finished products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen to meet food safety and hygiene standards
- Package baked goods for presentation or delivery, ensuring quality and freshness are preserved
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and service of all pastry items




- Adhere to food handling regulations and safety procedures at all times to guarantee a safe working environment

Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, baking processes, and cake decorating skills
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service
- Basic kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, packaging, and maintaining cleanliness
- Willingness to learn new skills in baking, decorating, and food presentation within the food industry
