About this opportunity:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced AUD Application Support Specialist to provide production support, maintenance, configuration management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for an enterprise Autodesk Automated Utility Design (AUD) environment supporting Utility Distribution Design operations.

This role will serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for the AUD application and will provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support to ensure application availability, performance, and stability. The successful candidate will collaborate with business users, GIS teams, SAP teams, infrastructure teams, and vendor support partners to resolve issues and support ongoing application enhancements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced application support professional who has deep expertise with Autodesk Utility Design solutions and a strong background supporting mission-critical utility design environments.

What You’ll Do:

Application Administration & Configuration

- Support and maintain AUD application configurations and standards.




- Manage design templates, drawing templates, CAD standards, layer management, symbol libraries, and design rules.
- Maintain Utility Data Hub (UDH) configurations and configuration packages.
- Support version upgrades, patch deployments, and application enhancements.

Production Support & Incident Management

- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for the AUD application.
- Investigate and resolve application incidents, defects, and service requests.
- Perform root cause analysis for major incidents and identify preventative measures.
- Maintain known error documentation and workaround procedures.
- Ensure service levels and support commitments are consistently achieved.

Design Lifecycle Support

- Support users with design creation, revisions, version management, approvals, and design locking/unlocking activities.
- Assist in estimate initiation, construction drawing generation, pole plan generation, plant alteration design, and as-built updates.
- Support design archive and retrieval activities.

GIS & System Integration Support

- Support AUD-related GIS playback activities including playback validation and troubleshooting.
- Analyze playback errors, synchronization issues, coordinate system challenges, and reference layer refresh requirements.
- Collaborate with GIS, SAP, infrastructure, and vendor support teams as required to resolve integration-related issues.

Must Have

- 5+ years of experience supporting Autodesk AutoCAD-based enterprise applications.




- 3+ years of experience supporting Autodesk Automated Utility Design (AUD) or similar utility design platforms.
- Experience supporting production environments within Utilities, Energy, Electrical Distribution, Transmission, or related industries.
- Experience supporting application upgrades, patching, release management, and production deployments.
- Solid troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience working within ITIL-based support or Application Management Services (AMS) environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production support environment.

Nice to Have

- Autodesk Certified Professional (AutoCAD).
- Experience supporting Spatial Business Systems (SBS) AUD implementations.
- Knowledge of electric utility distribution design workflows.
- Experience supporting large-scale utility technology platforms.
- Experience collaborating across GIS, SAP, infrastructure, and engineering support teams.
