- $45/hourly * Currently Hiring for Afterschool Programs** Pay: $45 A session Hours between 2:30pm and 6:00pm Length: 1 Hour Sessions- September - June 5 hours + other opportunities with PA days, camps TAC Sports is seeking a Basketball Camp Instructor to lead an engaging and development-focused basketball program for campers of all skill levels. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about basketball, enjoys working with children, and can create a positive, active, and supportive learning environment. The TAC Basketball camp program is designed to introduce beginners to the fundamentals of the game while helping more experienced players refine advanced techniques. Using the 5-Star TAC Basketball Development System, instructors will guide campers through progressive skill development, goal setting, and performance improvement in a fun and structured camp setting.

Key Responsibilities - Lead basketball camp sessions in a safe, engaging, and age-appropriate environment

- Teach and develop core basketball skills, including ball handling, shooting, passing, defence, footwork, positioning, and strategy
- Support skill development through drills, repetition, gameplay, and structured practice
- Provide individualized feedback to help campers improve technique, confidence, and game understanding
- Apply the 5-Star TAC Basketball Development System to track progress, motivate campers, and support goal setting
- Adapt instruction to suit a range of ages, abilities, and skill levels
- Supervise campers throughout activities, transitions, and breaks to ensure safety and positive behaviour
- Assist with daily camp setup, cleanup, equipment organization,



and activity preparation
- Build positive relationships with campers, families, and TAC Sports staff
- Follow TAC Sports’ program plans, safety procedures, and child supervision standards at all times
- Support the identification of advanced athletes who may be ready for further development opportunities within TAC programs Qualifications - Experience working with children in camps, sports programs, recreation, or coaching environments
- Strong basketball knowledge and ability to teach both foundational and advanced skills
- Energetic, patient, and confident leading groups in an active setting
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and create an encouraging learning environment
- Background in coaching, kinesiology, recreation, physical education, or a related field is an asset
- First Aid/CPR certification and Vulnerable Sector Check, or willingness to obtain them, preferred What We Offer - Full-time summer and/or afterschool program employment with a growing youth sports organization
