Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time remote role responsible for supporting and organizing volunteers who contribute to ICON Models Toronto’s events, campaigns, and community initiatives. In this role, the coordinator will recruit, onboard, schedule, and support volunteers, ensuring they understand their roles and have the resources needed to succeed. The coordinator will communicate regularly with volunteers and staff, maintain accurate volunteer records, and help design training materials and guidelines.

This role also involves collaborating with internal teams to identify volunteer needs, coordinating volunteer participation in special projects, and assisting with virtual meetings, briefings, and follow-up communications. The coordinator will continuously seek ways to improve volunteer engagement, recognition, and retention while upholding ICON’s qualified standards and brand image.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively coordinate, guide, and support volunteer activities.




- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build positive relationships with volunteers and staff and convey information clearly.
- Candidates should possess experience in Community Outreach to help connect ICON’s initiatives with wider audiences and attract new volunteers.
- Candidates should have strong organizational and time-management skills to manage schedules, track volunteer participation, and handle multiple priorities.
- Candidates should be comfortable working remotely, using digital tools for coordination (e.g., email, video conferencing, volunteer databases), and maintaining confidentiality.
- Previous experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit or community programs, events, or talent/creative industries is an asset.
- A diploma or degree in social sciences, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
