Pioneer Dental is a new, modern family dental clinic in Kitchener looking for a friendly, dependable Dental Assistant to join our team on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
As a newly opened practice, we are focused on creating a welcoming experience for our patients and building a strong, supportive team. This is a excellent opportunity for someone who would like to grow with a new dental practice from an early stage.
The position will initially be for Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the potential to add more days as patient demand grows.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist with general dental procedures
- Prepare and turn over operatories between patients
- Take dental radiographs as required
- Follow infection prevention and sterilization protocols
- Assist with instrument processing and maintaining clinical areas
- Help ensure patients feel comfortable and welcomed
- Maintain accurate and organized clinical workflow
- Work collaboratively with the dentist, hygienists and front-desk team
What We’re Looking For
- Dental assisting education or certification
- HARP certification for dental radiographs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized and comfortable working in a team environment
- Commitment to excellent patient care and infection control
- Experience in a dental office is an asset
- New graduates are welcome to apply
